Card Class

I took a Bold Backgrounds card class at Archivers on Saturday and learned some new techniques.

Using acrylic paint to stamp and paint on kraft paper, and paint buttons and twine to match.

I enjoyed working with the paints and stamps.
We used glimmer paints to coordinate the embellishments.

Cards with Twine

I was excited to get my
Colorful Bunch Sample Pack
from The Twinery and could
hardly wait to use it in some cards.

I decided to try the Cappuccino twine
along with some stamps I hadn't used in a long time.

How convenient is it that I had a cappuccino stamp??

Since the cards are not a standard size, I had to make envelopes to fit.
I liked making the scalloped edges

Anniversary Card

I really like making these rosette flowers and even remembered to add some "bling" this time with a butterfly brad from My Mind's Eye.

I made the rosette for this anniversary card for some dear friends using my recent favorite My Mind's Eye paper.

My favorite trick in making this card is using the Xyron Create-a-Sticker to put adhesive on the back of very skinny ribbon so I can attach them to the card.

I wanted to leave the card on their door as a surprise so I made a little holder out of some kraft paper that I usually use to wrap packages or cover tables when I'm going to be messy.  Not too fancy, but it worked.

Autograph Book

Got to use my Your Story Photo Book Binder for a little autograph book for my daughter.  We don't get a yearbook every year and she wanted friends to say goodbye.  We only added a few pages for friends to sign but it filled up so I reheated the book and added several more pages.  She only has a couple more days and then on to being a Junior!
