VCMP Cards to Link

Operation Write Home is having a
Virtual Card Making Party
this Labor Day Weekend.

Every few hours, a link will be posted over at the starting place on the Stars & Stamps blog. You can visit each stop and play along by making a card to go along with the challenge on that page.

The first challenge is to make a Winter or Christmas card with Nancy's sketch.

I like to make horizontal cards so here is my version. The blue patterned paper is not exactly winter but it could be and a "love you" card can be sent anytime of year.

For the second challenge Diane asked us to make an O W H inspired card.

                                                    O ~ Otter
                                                    W ~ Waving {with banner}
                                                    H ~ Hello

The third challenge Seongsook had for us was a little tricky for me since I don't have the rectangular dies she uses.

I ended up turning the two papers over and penciling in lines to cut 1/2" from each side.  The little blade of my Martha Stewart Paper Trimmer was easy to line up with the lines.

Sybrina's challenge (#6) for us is to make a kid's card using a tic tac toe grid.

I chose stamping ~ punny sentiment ~ something with 4 legs

  1. The sketch looks great flipped and the embossing adds nice texture too. I did mine in a horizontal position too. Now to take a photo and get it linked. Enjoy the VCMP this weekend!

  2. Haha! Oh, I love your otter!!! :D thanks for playing along with my sketch, I love to see a love card among the entries! Great job!!! :)

  3. LOL LOL LOL Your waving otter is hysterical! What a wonderful card! Thanks for participating in my challenge and for your support of our troops and OWH!

  4. Annette,

    This is a great set of cards! And, your little otter and doggie are sure to bring a smile to their recipients' faces. Thanks so much for playing along with the Cards 4 Kids challenge.
