I'd be Lost without You!
This is Lighthouse - digital image by Hambo Stamps from the Hambo Hoedown Challenge for this week where we were to include a wood grain.
Are there people in your life you just couldn't imagine being without? Let them know.

Do you have Pizzazz?
Operation Write Home is having a Pizzazz Blog Skip. They have several examples of what you can add to your cards to make them a little more special without adding glitter or lots of thickness. Be sure to check it out.
This week Cricut.com has the digital cartridge Life's a Party available for free in the Cricut Craft Room.
I found this cute lion. (You will notice I made him with beady eyes.) I embossed him with two different patterns to add some pizzazz of my own. I also inked the edges and popped up his head with foam tape for some depth. May Arts ribbon always adds pizzazz, right?
What kind of Pizzazz do you like to add to your projects?
Help a Shipper
This is Ciara Allnock, the official mascot of Operation Write Home. If cards are not stamped on the back with the OWH image or tucked into envelopes, they have to go the the "Card Hospital". This is where Ciara tries to help but her tongue can stick to the hospital patients. So please Please PLEASE help the shippers out by always stamping your cards with a free OWH stamp that they will send you. Tucking your card into an envelope will help so So SO Much!
Please share this so the Shippers can just Ship

Thanks
Paper Smooches Stamps has a challenge blog called Paper Smooches SPARKS.
They have a sketch to use with their really cute stamps.
I really like these little folk art looking birds. I flipped one of them so they would be facing the opposite way.

Best Swisses
Another Pun ~ Thanks Hambo Stamps! I never thought I would be putting cheeses on a card, but why not?? I received Cheeses - digital image by Hambo Stamps by participating in last week's challenge. This week's Hambo Hoedown Challenge was to Show Your Olympic Colors by incorporating at least two of the Olympic colors. I used all five; too much?
The Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown Challenge is to make a Kids Card. What kid doesn't like a good pun!

Toad ally Love U
I love Puns! Was working with my Copics and some Hero Arts stamps I've had for awhile and thought I could use a punny (haha) saying using some alphabet stamps I acquired recently.
The sketch I used is from the August Delightful Inspiration site. Okay, so it is very loosely based on this design but still it is where I got my inspiration and that's what counts, right?? I like my cards to be horizontal so when the OWH military are choosing a card to send home, they can see it easily.
I have been enjoying making more masculine cards lately. I think this would be a fun card to send to a child or a Sweetie.

Tic Tac Toe
I tried to use the sketch from Mojo Monday 252
The Operation Write Home Our Daily Bread Designs Challenge for August is to make a Masculine Card. I think this would be a fun card for a Mom or Dad to send home to their son.
