Just Because

I am really enjoying the Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kits.  Heard the April Kit is already sold out...glad I have a subscription.  It is really nice to try new combinations of colors or brands and I just love the stamp sets that Kristina Werner designs for them.

I thought this would be a good entry for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge ~Anything Goes

I liked the design of this card so well, I had to make another. It is the OWH Sketch Challenge #165.  I love the simple design.

I like the look of the small flowers with the solid scallop trim and a more toned down strip to stamp a sentiment.

My Favorite Peep

The Hambo Hoedown Challenge for this week was to use Bunny Basket -digital image by Hambo Stamps and your favorite embellishment. Mine is embossing folders. I love how you can add design and texture without being too busy.

I kept in mind the Rule of Thirds from this month's OWH Design Bookcamp when designing this card.

What is your favorite embellishment?

you are the best

Excited to show this card for several reasons: I am proud of myself for using products from the March Simon Says Stamp Monthly Card Kit that I just had to have;  this is my first time using Lawn Fawn paper;  I have been wanting to try a vertical design with a large flag on it; my scallop cutting came out even; and this card meets a couple of the requirements for some challenges I like to participate in ~Delightful Inspiration and OWH Bootcamp - Color Monochromatic.

I wanted the banner look three dimensional so I popped up only the middle section with foam tape and adhered the tails down flat with Dot Roller adhesive.

Yellow Birds

Love these beady eyed birds, don't you? I colored Silly Birds with Hats -digital image by Hambo Stamps for this week's Hambo Hoedown Challenge ~Scallops.

I added the scallops to the yellow paper the old-fashioned way, with scissors.  I also like that the background paper has a scallop look to it. I

Beary Special Day

I couldn't Bear to miss your Special Day! is one of the sentiments on Bear Cupcake, digital image by Hambo Stamps for this week's Hambo Hoedown Challenge. You had to incorporate a large and a small element in your design. I chose to use large and small dots.

Our Daily Bread Designs challenges OWHers to link up cards each month. The challenge for March is to include a scallop in the design. It is really nice of them to donate postage of up to two boxes when cards are linked to the post.
